• Untuk memperoleh informasi, maka ada

   beberapa mekanisme atau fungsi yang dimiliki

   oleh Teknologi Informasi. Ada 6 fungsi pokok, 

   yaitu :

 

1) Capture, Obtain a representation of information in a 

     form permitting it to be transmitted or stored .

 

2) Transmit, Move information from one place to 

     another .

 

3) Store, Move information to a specific place for later 

     retrieval .

 

4) Retrieve, Find the specific information that is 

     currently needed .

 

5) Manipulate, Create new information from existing 

     information throught summarizing, sorting, 

     rearranging, reformatting or other types of 

     calculations .

 

6) Display, Show information to a person.
